Mafia man arrested

Italian police said a key mafia fugitive has been arrested in Venezuela.



Italy had listed him as one of the country’s 30 most dangerous men.



Salvatore Miceli, who was on the run since 2001, was under surveillance for three days before he was held by officers in Venezuela’s capital.



He is suspected of being a link between a number of international drug rings.



The police said their investigation confirmed Miceli\'s primary role in the drug trafficking business.



They said he was able to build a close network of relations with various transnational organized crime groups.
