West Indies captain Chris Gayle is expecting a tough one-day series against India despite the absence of top batsman Sachin Tendulkar and three other key players from the touring side.

India arrived in Jamaica last week for the first two One-Day Internationals without Tendulkar, key pacer Zaheer Khan, Virender Sehwag and Suresh Raina.

Gayle said there are still quality players in the Indian squad.

Gayle along with three other West Indies players arrived in the country yesterday from the 20/20 World Cup in England.

Accompanying Gayle were his Jamaican teammates Jerome Taylor, David Bernard and Xavier Marshall along with Ramnaresh Sarwan of Guyana.

Marshall was not selected for the first two One-Day matches.

The remaining members of the squad are scheduled to arrive this afternoon at 12:35.

The first two matches will take place on Friday and Sunday at Sabina Park in Kingston. The other games are set for St Lucia on July 3 and 5.
