US President Barack Obama today condemned the actions of Iran’s security officials towards anti-government protesters.
He says he’s appalled and outraged by the post-election violence in Iran’s capital Tehran.
Mr. Obama also denied accusations that the US was instigating the political unrest through its media coverage.
He referred to a highly publicized video of an Iranian woman killed in the streets of Tehran during protests.
He said the image was heartbreaking and that the US was against any violence taken against innocent civilians.
