ICC approves use of video referrals in matches
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has approved the use of video referrals to challenge umpire\'s decisions.
However, it will not be enforce for the Ashes between England and Australia taking place this summer.
Having been given a trial in four Test series, the review system will come into permanent effect in October.
The decision was taken on day one of a four-day ICC meeting in London.
The ICC admitted concerns about undermining umpire authority but thought the positives outweighed the negatives.
The possibility of Pakistan staging matches at the 2011 World Cup again following security concerns will also be discussed at the meeting.
Co-hosting rights were stripped from Pakistan in April due to security fears in the wake of an attack on the Sri Lankan team by gunmen in Lahore.
