A 15-year-old boy has been convicted of murdering a two-year-old girl who was left in his care.
The Manchester Crown Court heard that Demi Leigh Mahon was severely beaten and bitten and had her hair sheared off by the 15-year-old boy.
The attacker admitted to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility but the jury rejected this claim.
According to presiding psychiatrist, Dr Cesar Lengua, the boy said he was not proud of what he did.
