West Indies against India

West Indies, chasing a victory target of 340, were 302 for eight off 46 overs in opening One-Day International against India at Sabina Park in Kingston.



Top batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul has so far top scored for West Indies with 63 off 59 balls.



Ramnaresh Sarwan, 45, Runako Morton, 42 and captain Chris Gayle 37 also got among the runs.



Left-handed batsman Darren Bravo, the younger brother of allrounder Dwayne Bravo who made his international debut, scored 19 off 16 balls.



Earlier, India electing to bat after winning the toss, piled up 339 for seven off their allotted 50 overs with Yuvraj Singh blasting 131 off 102 balls.



Dwayne Bravo was the most successful bowler for the West Indies with two for 66, while David Bernard, Jerome Taylor and Lionel Baker took a wicket apiece.
