Shawn Crawford easily won the 200-metre title on yesterday’s final day of the US Athletics Championships, booking his World Championship tickets with a wind-assisted 19.73 seconds.

Charles Clark was second in 20 seconds flat and Wallace Spearmon third in 20.03, earning the right to join reigning 100 and 200 metre world champion Tyson Gay in the field at Berlin in August.

Gay, the country’s top sprinter, booked his ticket to Berlin based on winning the event at the 2007 World Championships.

Allyson Felix joined Crawford as America\'s other 200 metre champion. A heavy favorite to win her fifth national title, Felix didn\'t disappoint, finishing in 22.02, also wind-aided, to edge out Muna Lee. Marshevet Hooker finished third.

Other athletes booking their World Championship berths on the final day of the trials included 2008 Olympic hurdles champions Angelo Taylor and Dawn Harper, Beijing shot put silver medallist Christian Cantwell and bronze medal-winning hurdler Bershawn Jackson.
