Horace Reid appointed General Coordinator for GC
General Secretary of the Jamaica Football Federation, JFF, Horace Reid, has been appointed General Coordinator for two of the 13 match venues for the Gold Cup tournament in the United States.
He will first be in charge of the Houston Venue in Group C on July 9 at the Reliant Stadium, before taking over responsibility for the Philadelphia venue in the Quarterfinals on July 18.
The General Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and administration of the venue.
Previously, Reid served as General Coordinator in Gold Cup 2005 and 2007 for the Houston venue. In 2006 he served in the Central American and Caribbean games in Colombia.
Chairman of the JFF Referees Commission, Peter Prendergast, will serve as a Referee Instructor/Assessor, while Victor Stewart will perform duties as Referee assessor during the tournament.
Central Referee Courtney Campbell and Assistant Referee Ricardo Morgan have been assigned duties in Group B, while two of their countrymen Raymond Bogle and Anthony Garwood are listed as alternates.
The 12-team Gold Cup, which is divided into three groups of four, kicks off on July 3.
