Bucknor among candidates for JFF Coaching School
Retired International Cricket Council umpire Steve Bucknor is among the candidates who have registered for the Jamaica Football Association/University of Technology Coaching School course.
There will be two courses, the first on July 1 and continues to July 14. The second course will run from July 20 to 31.
The candidates will attend Orientation at UTECH starting at 10 a.m.
The courses are designed to upgrade coaches before the start of the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association’s (ISSA) football season.
Bucknor, a former FIFA referee, will coach Cornwall College in the upcoming schoolboy football season.
All ISSA coaches must be in possession of an Advanced Level One Coaching Certificate or its equivalent to operate during the football season, which begins in September.
Each candidate is required to pay a fee of $25 thousand, which will be used to cover the cost of all course materials.
