Reggae Boyz ranked 70th
Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz have climbed back to 70 on the latest FIFA’s world rankings after slipping six places to 76 last month.
The Reggae Boys’ latest ranking is the best by a Caribbean Side on FIFA’s list.
The Jamaicans remain the top-ranked team in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU), ahead of Trinidad and Tobago, who are ranked 72nd in the world.
Cuba, ranked 85th in the world, hold down third place in the CFU rankings, while Grenada, 88th in the world are fourth on the CFU list.
Meanwhile, Brazil have ended Spain\'s one-year reign at the top of FIFA\'s rankings, rewarded for their comeback win over the United States in the Confederations Cup final.
Brazil rose four spots to reach the top of the rankings for the first time since August 2007. European champion Spain, upset by the US in the semifinal last week, slipped to second.
Netherlands fell back to third, Italy stayed fourth and Germany slipped two places to fifth.
Russia, England, Argentina, France and Croatia rounded out the top 10.
