Mexico’s Attorney General has called for the arrest of nine more persons believed to be connected to the fire, which killed 48 children at a day-care centre on June 5.

Fourteen persons have already been arrested.

Attorney General Eduardo Medina Mora issued the arrest warrants yesterday for public officials from the Mexican Institute of Social Security, which owned the day-care centre.

Warrants have also been issued for private individuals connected to the facility.
