Barbados denies race allegations

The Prime Minister of Barbados, David Thompson is rejecting claims that ethnicity was a factor in the country\'s crackdown on illegal migration from Guyana.



Some Guyanese of East Indian descent have complained that they are being deported from Barbados because of their race.



But Mr Thompson has denied the allegations saying Barbados will not allow the importation of ethnic tensions.



Mr. Thompson was speaking at a news conference in Georgetown ahead of the 30th regular meeting of the conference of CARCICOM Heads in Guyana today.
