Sherwin Williams League Round Up

Barbican whipped Maverley Hughenden 8-0 at Barbican playfield to secure the biggest victory in yesterday’s round of matches in the Sherwin Williams-sponsored Women’s football league.



As a result of the victory, Barbican have climbed to 10 points in Zone ‘A’ to remain ahead in the standings.



Barbican are a point in front of second place Portmore Strikers, who blanked bottom place Constant Spring 2-0 at Racing Oval.



In the other Zone ‘A’ game, Trelawny Women’s edged Arnett Gardens 3-2 at Elliston Wakeland Centre to move to joint third place with Maverley Hughenden on six points each.



Over in Zone ‘B’, leaders Harbour View defeated fifth place Santos 4-nil at Harbour View Stadium, while fourth place Meadhaven defeated bottom place Olympic Gardens 3-nil at Michigan Avenue.



Harbour View are now on 12 points, three ahead of Waterhouse.
