CAC Seniors start today

Jamaica’s 32-member squad arrived in Cuba last night to compete in the CAC Senior Championships, which starts today and ends on Sunday.



World Championships quarter-miler Nickiesha Wilson and National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA, double champion Kimberley Williams head the squad.



Wilson, a finalist in the 400-metre hurdles at the World Championships will run the 100 metres hurdles, while Williams, who won the long and triple jumps at last month’s NCAA Championships, will only compete in the triple jump.



Also included in the squad are World Youth 200-metre champion Ramone McKenzie, Nickel Ashmeade, who won silver in the 200 metres at the last World Juniors, veteran decathlete Claston Bernard and Olympian Rosemarie Whyte.
