Runako Morton moves up ODI rankings

Runako Morton’s form in the just concluded series against India has pushed him up the International Cricket One-Day International batting rankings.



The right-hander, who opened the batting the captain Chris Gayle, compiled 161 runs during the rain-hit four-match series at an average of 80.5 to jump 13 places to 45th spot.



Morton’s West Indies counterpart Ramnaresh Sarwan has moved up one place to 18th position after scores of 45, 15 and 62 in the first three matches.



Gayle and Shivnarine Chanderpaul have slipped one place in the rankings. Gayle has dropped to fourth, while Chanderpaul has slipped to third.



Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has strengthened his place on top of the batting rankings after 182 runs, which earned him the Man-of-the-Series award.



In the bowlers’ rankings medium pacer Dwayne Bravo has gained six places to 29th while fast bowler Jerome Taylor has dropped one place to 15th.
