Bangladesh, batting after winning the toss against hosts West Indies, were 4 without loss on today’s opening day of the rain affected first cricket Test at Arnos Vale Sports Complex in St Vincent.
Bangladesh have handed debuts to all-rounder Mahmudullah and fast bowler Rubel Hossain.
Meanwhile, West Indies have named seven players to make their Test debuts in light of the industrial action by the region’s first choice players.
They are wicketkeeper Chadwick Walton, Travis Dowlin, Nikita Miller, Ryan Austin, Kemar Roach, Dale Richards and Omar Phillips.
West Indies are being led for the first time by veteran Barbadian left-handed Floyd Reifer.
