West Indies are fighting to avoid defeat against Bangladesh on today’s final day of the opening Test at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex in St Vincent.

Set 227 runs to win the host was struggling on 155 for seven at Sports Time with Dave Bernard on 42 and Ryan Austin yet to get off the mark.

Mahmudullah has so far claimed three for 34 and Shakib Al Hasan two for 35.

West Indies are being represented by a replacement squad after the original 13-man squad chose to boycott the series due to contract wrangles with the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).
