Members of the Grenadian Opposition are upset this morning over the suspension of their leader Dr Keith Mitchell from yesterday’s sitting.

Dr Mitchell was escorted out of the house of Parliament on the orders of house speaker George Mc Guire.

Dr Mitchell was making a statement in the house about unfair work distribution when a Government member challenged to name the communities where it was taking place.

Dr Mitchell responded and immediately the finance minister rose on a point of order telling the speaking that Dr Mitchell broke the standing orders.

According to the finance minister, Dr Mitchell should not have directly responded to the members.

The speaker agreed and demanded that Dr Mitchell acknowledge that he had breached the standing order.
