Update: Jamaica beat Guyana

Jamaica beat Guyana by nine wickets on today’s final day of their second round, TCL Group West Indies three-day Cup match at Sabina Park a short while ago.



The host team set 79 runs to win, reached 82 for the loss of one wicket. Brian Clarke was the batsman dismissed. He scored 21.



John Campbell was undefeated on 42.



Earlier, Guyana trailing Jamaica by 132 runs, were bowled out for 210 in their second innings after resuming this morning on 98-4.



Jonathan Foo top scored for Guyana with 59. He was supported by Trevon Griffiths with 48 and Anthony Bramble with 39.



Bowling for Jamaica medium pacer Nicholson Gordon ended with 3-60, Romeo Dunka 2-44 and Akeem Dewar 2-46.



Final scores in the match:- Guyana 160 and 210, Jamaica 292 and 82-1.



Over at Jamaica Broilers Grounds, Trinidad and Tobago beat Windward Islands by eight wickets. Final scores in the game:- T&T 325 and 30-2; Windward Islands 145 and 209.



Over at Elletson Road, Leeward Islands recorded a four-wicket victory over defending champions Barbados.



Leewards, chasing 272 to win, ended on 274-6.



Final scores in that game:- Barbados 259 and 177 for eight, Leewards 165 and 274-6.



Following the end of the second round, Leewards and T&T lead the table with 24 points each followed by Jamaica and Barbados on 12.
