The West Indies Players Association, WIPA, has turned to CARICOM for help to solve the impasse with the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).
The West Indies first choice players have boycotted the current home series against Bangladesh due to contract disputes with the WICB.
A release from WIPA says a letter was sent to CARICOM Chairman, Guyana’s President Bharat Jagdeo, asking him to intervene in the dispute.
The Dinanath Ramnarine-led WIPA says it is confident CARICOM can find a solution to the problem.
