A Dutch Caribbean court has rejected an attempt to block the extradition of an American man accused of killing two Georgia college athletes.
Attorney Remco Somp said his client Michael Registe, 26, would not get a fair trial in the southern US state because he is black.
He said he will continue to fight the court’s decision.
Registe is charged with the execution-style killings of two Columbus State University athletes in July 2007.
He was placed on the FBI\'s most wanted fugitive list last year
Police say he fled the US and was captured in St Maarten.
In May, the Supreme Court of the Netherlands ruled that Registe could be extradited after US prosecutors agreed not to seek the death penalty.
