The son of China’s President has been linked to bribery allegations where a Namibian consultancy company tried to win a contract with a state -owned firm.
Namibia\'s anti-corruption commission said it would be seeking to question Hu Haifeng, who is the son of President Hu Jintao.
While he’s not a suspect, the commission said he’s a person of interest in the case.
The Chinese government company, Nuctech, is suspected of bribing a Namibian consultancy to win a $56 million deal to supply scanners to ports and airports in that country.
Haifeng was president of the firm until last year.
The co-owners of the consultancy firm were arrested last week and are still in custody.
