Pakistan take full control

Pakistan are firmly on course for a morale-boosting victory in the third Test against hosts Sri Lanka in Colombo.



Resuming this morning’s fourth day on 16-1 with a lead of 82 in their second innings, Pakistan declared on 425-9 with Shoaib Malik leading the way with a brilliant 134.



Kamran Akmal supported with 74, while Umar Gul got 46.



Rangana Herath was the most successful bowler for Sri Lanka with 5-157, while Nuwan Kulasekera chipped in with 2-55.



Chasing 508 to win, Sri Lanka were 183-3 at stumps against the bowling of Danish Kaneria 2-56.



Opener Tharanga Paranavitana has so far top scored for Sri Lanka with 73, while Malinda Warnapura scored 31.



Kumar Sangakkara 50 and Thilan Samaraweera 20 are the batsmen at the crease.



Sri Lanka lead the three-match series 2-0.



Scores in the game so far are Pakistan 299 and 425-9 declared, Sri Lanka 233 and 183-3.
