The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) has approved an assistance strategy for Haiti over the next three years.
The CDB said over the period they will be providing support to the government’s macroeconomic stabilisation initiatives, strengthen Haiti’s economic growth and reduce poverty.
The bank has also committed support for food security and re-forestation initiatives with a view to simulating job creation.
It said these programmes were selected after extensive consultation with key stakeholders.
The CDB hopes that it’s assistance will help Haiti’s fiscal and debt management.
