A former Trinidadian Government minister is objecting to the membership of some CARICOM countries in the Venezuelan-led Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas, ALBA.

Morgan Job, who served in a Basdeo Panday administration, said he’s also against the proposed Trinidad and Tobago/Organization of Eastern Caribbean States Unity initiative.

Mr. Job said it is clear that Venezuela\'s Hugo Chavez and Trinidadian leader Patrick Manning are trying to steer the islands in different directions.

He has accused Dominica, St Vincent and Antigua, of joining ALBA for financial reasons.
