West Indies beaten again
The West Indies makeshift side suffered a three-wicket defeat to Bangladesh in the second One-Day International at Roseau in Dominica a short while ago.
As a result of the victory, the visitors have taken an unassailable two-nil lead in the three-match series.
It was Bangladesh first One-Day series triumph against a current Test-playing nation.
After taking first strike, West Indies posted 274 for six off their allotted 50 overs with Travis Dowlin scoring a memorable maiden One-Day International century.
He made an unbeaten even hundred and was supported by Devon Smith who scored 44 from 62 balls and Darren Sammy with an undefeated 24 not out off 11 balls.
Needing 275 for victory, Bangladesh ended on 276 with six balls to spare.
Shakib Al Hasan top scored for Bangladesh with 65, while Mohammad Ashraful scored 64.
David Bernard Jnr. and Devon Thomas took two wickets each for West Indies.
The series will conclude on Friday at St Kitts’ Warner Park.
