Australia, replying to England’s total of 102, were 179 for four at Sports Time, a lead of 77 runs, on today’s first day of the fourth Ashes Test at Headingley.

The batsmen at the crease are Michael Clarke on 21 and Marcus North on three.

Captain Ricky Ponting has so far top score for Australia with 78 while opener Shane Watson scored 51.

Stuart Broad has already picked up two wickets for 29, while Graeme Onions and Steve Harmison have taken the other wickets to fall.

Earlier, Peter Siddle and Stuart Clark combined for eight wickets to dismiss England for 102, their lowest total against Australia at Headingley in 100 years.

Siddle claimed test-best figures of 5 for 21, including a spell of 4 for 3 in 14 balls after lunch, and Clark took 3 for 18 from 10 overs in his first test in nine months after having undergone elbow surgery.

Matt Prior hit an unbeaten 37 and Alastair Cook made 30 to be the only English batsmen to reach double figures after the hosts won the toss and batted on a good pitch in sunny conditions.

England is without Andrew Flintoff\'s because of a knee injury, while Australia made two changes, bringing in Stuart Clark for offspinner Nathan Hauritz and recalling Brad Haddin for Graham Manou.

England are 1-0 up in the five-match series and are seeking to reclaim the Ashes.
