Reggae Girls win again
Jamaica’s Under-20 football team scored a 3-1 victory over their counterparts from Trinidad and Tobago in the final game of their three-match friendly series at Drax Hall in St Ann yesterday.
As a result of the victory, the young Reggae Girls have won the series 3-0.
Jamaica won the opening contest 4-1 at the UWI Bowl on Wednesday and the second game 2-0 at Brancourt in Clarendon on Friday.
The friendly games were used as preparations for Jamaica’s first round of the World Cup qualifiers later this month.
Jamaica begin their qualifiers on August 23 against the Turks and Caicos before completing the first round against the host national Dominica on August 27.
The winner will progress to a group of four from which the top three will advance to the CONCACAF round.
