The Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) has abandoned the West Indies Cricket Board’s annual general meeting, which started yesterday in Antigua.
The TTCB wrote to the WICB informing members that it would take no part in the two-day meeting.
The T&T cricket officials say they are making a statement about their frustration and immense disappointment over how the game is being administrated regionally.
TTCB president Deryck Murray said it was a difficult decision but his board wants to send a signal to the WICB that this is not a time for business as usual.
The WICB and the West Indies Players Association are now in a dispute, which has resulted in an inexperienced squad selected for the Champions Trophy in South Africa in September.
