Haitians in the Diaspora want change in law

Haitian living overseas are seeking changes to the country’s law to allow them to participate more in the Haitian political process.

Haitians holding dual citizenship are barred by law from holding public office.

They are contending that changes in the law would enable them to make contributions to the country\'s development.

The issue came up at a weekend conference with former US President Bill Clinton, who is now the UN envoy to Haiti.
