Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe

Stand-in captain Shakib Al Hasan hit a century while opener Tamim Iqbal added 80 runs to guide Bangladesh to a 49-run victory over hosts Zimbabwe at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo today.



As a result of the victory, Bangladesh have taken a 2-0 lead in the five-match one-day series.



Bangladesh sent in to bat blazed their way to 320 for eight, with Al Hasan scoring 104 from 64 balls. Opener Tamim Iqbal chipped in with 79 and Raqbul Hassan scored 35.



Four Bangladeshi batsmen were dismissed by the run out rout.



Needing 321 for victory, Zimbabwe were bowled out for 271 with Charles Coventry getting 61 and Sean Williams 75.



Syed Rasel , Shakib Al Hasan , Najmul Hossain and Enamul Haque ended with two wickets each.



The third match will take place at Bulawayo on Friday.
