St Lucia proposing regional amnesty

The National Security Minister of St Lucia Guy Mayers says he intends to have Prime Minister Stephenson King propose a regional amnesty programme for CARICOM nationals living illegally in member countries.
The proposal comes amid the debates about immigration in the region as well an amnesty by the current St Lucia government for CARICOM nationals living on the island.
The proposal is to be tabled at the next CARICOM heads of government meeting.
