Jamaica face Papua New Guinea

Unbeaten Jamaica will face Papua New Guinea this afternoon in their fourth Pool ‘D’ game of the 2009 World Youth Netball Championship in the Cook Islands.



The game is scheduled to start at 2.15 p.m. Jamaica time.



In another Pool ‘D’ game at the same time, Malawi and the United States face off.



The young Sunshine Girls outclassed Malawi 75-37 last night for their third straight victory with the six-foot-five-inch Romelda Aiken scoring 59 goals from 61 attempts.



Crystal Gordon had 10 from 12 and captain Christine Solmon seven from eight.



Jamaica lead the Pool ‘D’ standings on maximum 12 points from their three games.



In another game last night, Trinidad and Tobago crushed neighbours Barbados 59-33 in Pool ‘A’ to record their first victory at the championship.



New Zealand lead Pool ‘A’ with 12 points after a 78-24 victory over Scotland. They are followed by Northern Ireland on eight and T&T on four.



Hosts Cook Islands also moved to 3-0 when they defeated Vanuatu 83-24 to stay top of Pool ‘B’.
