Barbican, Reno score victories

Barbican and Reno yesterday booked their places in the second round of the Sherwin Williams Colourscape women’s knockout football competition with contrasting victories.



Barbican defeated Meadhaven 2-0 at Barbican playfield; while Reno edged Constant Spring 4-3 on penalties at Maverley.



They teams had played to a 2-2 draw following full and extra time.



The competition continues this afternoon with two other first round games.



Santos and Olympic Gardens will face off at Bell Chung Oval, while Trelawny Women’s will tackle Arnett Gardens at Elliston Wakeland Centre.



Both games are scheduled to start at 3.30 p.m.
