Guyanese Coast Guards charges

The three Guyanese Coast Guard soldiers who were held in connection with the murder of a gold dealer have now been charged.



The men - Sherwin Hart, Delon Gordon and Deon Grenidge appeared in court yesterday to answer to the charge but were not required to enter a plea.

They are to return to court on September 24.



Its alleged that on August 20 the men abducted 24 year old Dweive Ramdass.

They later killed him and dumped his body into a river.



Ramdass’s decomposed body was found on Saturday and was buried yesterday.

President Bharrat Jagdeo and The Guyana Defence Force have condemned the actions of the three soldiers.
