DPL season kicks off August 30

The 2009-2010 season of the Digicel Premier League kicks off on Sunday with all 12 teams in action.



Defending champions Tivoli Gardens will open against new comers Humble Lions from Clarendon in a 5 p.m. game at Edward Seaga Complex.



Last season’s runners-up Portmore United will play away to August Town, who make a return to top-flight football, at UWI Bowl, Mona. That match will start at 3:30.



The remaining games are Harbour View against Sporting Central Academy at Harbour View Stadium at 6:30, Village United playing Boys’ Town at 3:30 at Elliston Wakeland Center, Arnett Gardens facing St Georges at 6 p.m. at the Anthony Spaulding Complex and Rivoli United hosting Waterhouse at 6 p.m. at Spanish Town Prison Oval.
