The Honduran interim government says it will be going ahead with plans hold presidential elections, even if results are not recognised by other countries.

Presidential elections are due to be held on November 29.

Roberto Micheletti has been overseeing activities in Honduras after forcing President Manuel Zelaya from office.

Mr. Micheletti told a delegation of foreign ministers from the Organization of American States that he was not concerned about international sanctions following actions taken against President Zelaya.

The OAS foreign ministers were seeking to convince Mr. Micheletti to reinstate President Zelaya.

But he told them that he will not accept any imposition from any group, unless troops come from somewhere else and force him.

Mr Micheletti said Honduras would carry on without the support of the OAS and other nations.
