Bolt, Powell to face off in Switzerland
Olympic and World sprint champion Usain Bolt heads a list of 12 Jamaicans booked to compete at the IAAF Weltklasse Zurich Golden meeting in Switzerland tomorrow.
Bolt will run in the 100 metres at 2:10 in the afternoon Jamaica time, where his main competition should come from fellow Jamaican Asafa Powell, the former world record holder.
The race also includes Jamaica’s Michael Frater and the American pair of Darvis Patton and Michael Rodgers.
The women’s 100 metres, scheduled to start at 1:45, features three Jamaicans. They are Olympic and World 100-metre gold medallist Shelly-Ann Fraser, Olympic and world 100-metre silver medallist Kerron Stewart and Aleen Bailey.
Other Jamaicans down to compete are World Championship gold medallist Brigitte Foster Hylton, World championship bronze medallist Delloreen Ennis London, Olympic and World 400-metre silver medallist Shericka Williams, Novlene Williams-Mills, Maurice Wignall and Dwight Thomas.
