Carlos Tevez scored his first Manchester City goal yesterday to round off a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace that clinched a spot in the third round of the League Cup.
The Argentina striker scored in the 71st minute.
Shaun Wright-Phillips, whose corner set up Tevez, had broken the deadlock in the 50th minute after a frustrating first half for the Premier League\'s wealthiest side against League Championship opposition.
The League Cup, England\'s second-tier knockout competition was the last title City won back in 1976.
