Emmanuel Adebayor yesterday kept up his record of scoring in every league game this season to help big-spending Manchester City maintain their perfect start to the English Premier League season.
Adebayor scored on the half-hour mark to lead Manchester City to a one-nil victory over struggling Portsmouth at Fratton Park.
The win pushed City up to fourth in the table with the maximum nine points from three matches.
This is three points behind Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur who lead the table with 12 points from four matches.
In other games, Everton grabbed their first points of the season by scoring a 2-1 win over Wigan, while Aston Villa easily defeated Fulham two-nil to register their first home league win of the campaign.
