WIPA advises players to seek legal advice

The West Indies Players’ Association, WIPA, has advised its players who are subject to disciplinary action by the West Indies Cricket Board, WICB, to seek legal advice.

In a release today, the WIPA stated they had read with dismay, the statement issued by the WICB regarding continuation of disciplinary matters against a number of players.

The WIPA says it is clear that several of the statements made in yesterday’s release have already drawn conclusions that impinge on the entitlements of the players who may be the subject of any such disciplinary matters.

The WICB has said they would continue disciplinary action on the players for a number of breaches of the Code of Conduct during home series against England, India and Bangladesh earlier this year.
