Former West Indies all-rounder, Antiguan Eldine Baptiste, has signed a two-year contract to coach Kenya.

Cricket Kenya says Baptiste replaces South African Andy Kirsten and will be in charge until June 2011.

He will become the second West Indian to coach Kenya, after Roger Harper, who guided the Africans to the 2007 Cricket World Cup in the Caribbean.

The 49-year-old Baptiste represented West Indies in 10 Tests and 43 One Day International matches between 1983 and 1990.
