A steady rain has forced officials of the U.S. Open to postpone the women\'s singles semifinals.

Serena Williams was scheduled to face Kim Clijsters and Yanina Wickmayer was to meet Carolina Wozniacki today, but tournament officials decided to move those matches back a day with the forecast calling for more rain.

Officials were still hoping to complete the men\'s quarterfinal between Number three Rafael Nadal and Number 11 Fernando Gonzalez, which was postponed last night with Nadal up a set and leading 3-2 in the second-set tiebreaker.
