Tivoli, August Town face off

The third set of games in the 2009 to 2010 Digicel National Premier League season will take place this afternoon with defending champions Tivoli Gardens well poised to make it three-in-a-row.



Tivoli Gardens with maximum six points will host third-from-the-bottom August Town at the Edward Seaga Stadium, starting at 5 p.m.



Last year’s beaten finalist Portmore United, who are locked atop the early standings with Tivoli Gardens, will also try to make it three-in-a-row.



They will face debutant Humble Lions at Effortville Community Centre, starting at 3.30 p.m.



In another 3.30 p.m. match, eighth place Village United will tackle Waterhouse, who are yet to get off the mark, at Elliston Wakeland Centre.



The remaining games are fifth place Harbour View hosting fourth place St Georges at Harbour View Stadium at 7 p.m., third place Rivoli United tackling sixth place Boys’ Town at Spanish Town Prison Oval at 6 p.m. and second-from-the-bottom Arnett Gardens playing seventh place Sporting Central Academy at Anthony Spaulding Complex, also at 6 p.m.
