Shelly Ann Fraser, Kaliese Spencer back home

Olympic and World Champion 100-metre gold medallist Shelly Ann Fraser,
World Championship 400-metre hurdles finalist Kaliese Spencer and World Championship 100 meter finalist Michael Frater arrived in the country earlier this afternoon, three days after ending their season at the World Athletics Final in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The athletes were competing on the European circuit following the World Championship in Berlin, Germany last month.
Government officials including Minister of Sports Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange was on hand to meet the athletes.
The athletes will pay a courtesy call on Prime Minster Bruce Golding at Vale Royal later this afternoon.
The government has unveiled plans to celebrate the achievements of the athletes at the World Championships in Berlin, Germany.
The celebratory event is scheduled to take place from October 2 to 4. It is dubbed the \'The Berlin Salute - a Tribute to Our Athletes\'.
The events will include a golden reception at Jamaica House and would incorporate other sporting personalities.
