The Caribbean Football Union’s Under-20 Women’s tournament which was scheduled to be held in St Lucia next week has been switched to Trinidad and Tobago and the United States Virgin Islands.

The decision was taken following last week’s fire at St Jude’s Hospital.

The tournament was scheduled to be held at the George Odlum Stadium, which is in close proximity to the burnt out hospital, but parts of the venue has been used since last Thursday as a temporary medical facility.

The tournament will now be played under a different format from September 29 to October 7.

The initial format pitted the teams against each other at one venue in a round robin format. But under the new schedule the US Virgin Islands will host St Lucia on September 27 with a return game between the two teams at the same venue on September 29.

The winner of that tie will then advance to play T&T at the Marvin Lee Stadium in Port of Spain over two legs on October 5 and 7, to decide who advance to the next stage of the competition.
