The leaders of the 42-member grouping, Alliance of Small Island States will meet in New York on Monday to plan their agenda for the upcoming international summit on climate change.
They will develop strategies for addressing the challenges of small island states that are most vulnerable to the impact of climate change.
Grenada currently chairs the alliance.
The country\'s ambassador to the United Nations, Dr. Dessima Williams, says she’s optimistic that the meeting will draw international attention to the grouping\'s concerns.
