No decline in UK aid

Britain is seeking to assure the Caribbean that the financial crisis will not affect that country\'s development aid to the region.
The outgoing High Commissioner to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, Duncan Taylor, said while the UK has not escaped the economic downturn, there are no plans to reduce overseas development assistance.
He says the UK\'s International Development programme should contribute close to US$25 million to the Caribbean in the coming year.
