Tivoli Gardens beat Arnett Gardens in Digicel Premier League
Defending champions Tivoli Gardens scored a 2-1 victory over hosts Arnett Gardens at the Anthony Spaulding Complex last night to keep their perfect record in the new season of the Digicel Premier League.
With the victory, Tivoli Gardens have stretched their lead atop the points table. They are now on 12 points, four ahead of Portmore United, Sporting Central Academy and St Georges, who are locked on eight points each.
Portmore United battled to a goalless draw against eighth place Boys’ Town at Collie Smith Drive, Sporting Central Academy had a 3-0 victory over debutant Humble Lions in their Clarendon derby at Brancourt and St Georges beat August Town 2-1 at UWI Bowl, Mona.
Waterhouse gained their first point of the season following a 1-1 draw against seventh place Harbour View at Waterhouse Stadium, while Village United and Rivoli United played to a 1-1 draw at Elliston Wakeland Centre.
