S/Africa, Sri Lanka face off in Champions Trophy
Cricket\'s second biggest 50-over event, the biennial Champions Trophy, begins in South Africa tomorrow with the sport\'s top eight teams vying for glory.
Hosts South Africa and Sri Lanka will face off in the opening match of the tournament.
South Africa, Sri Lanka, England and New Zealand are in Group ‘B’.
Group ‘A’ consists of holders Australia, India, Pakistan and the West Indies.
West Indies will enter their opening match against Pakistan on Wednesday without winning any of their two official warm-up matches.
The Caribbean side, without their top-flight players because of a contracts dispute with the board, lost their second warm-up match by five wickets to Sri Lanka at LC de Villiers Oval in South Africa yesterday.
Two teams from two groups of four will form the semi-finals, with the final to be staged in Centurion on October 5.
